SHEFORSTEM seeks to track, measure, and explore the reasons behind the lack of women fully capitalizing on the global advancements and opportunities shaping the future through our conferences and events.

Making a Difference

SHEFORSTEM was generated from curiosity about why fewer women lead major scientific projects — for example, solar missions that unearth the secrets of the Sun. We are keen to explore reasons for the absence of women across a wide spectrum of knowledge such as space research, atomic energy, marine research, and biomedical research. Our aim is to mainstream women into organized sectors so they can strengthen themselves and their communities.

Exemplary Leaders

SHEFORSTEM would like to see more women in leadership roles across business, the economy, politics, diplomacy, science and technology, and emerging research areas such as Information Technology, AI, and Machine Learning. Decision-making roles enhance women’s participation in learning, upskilling, and knowledge-sharing, improving livelihoods and societal impact.

Designing a Roadmap

SHEFORSTEM designs roadmaps to unlock funds, resources, business opportunities, and information essential to strengthen women’s participation in education, training, skill development, career building, entrepreneurship, and employment generation in emerging scientific fields.
